Our recent project brought us to one of the properties located in Prior Greens in Essex CM6 where we completed a simple TV install project. The TV is securely mounted on the wall with the use of a flat mount. The wires are kept hidden from the view to prevent it from distracting the homeowners when they watch their favorite show or movie on the television.
TV Install Safety
Safety should always be a priority when working on any TV install projects — whether you’re doing it alone or whether you have someone working on the project with you. Here are just a few safety tips that you should remember before getting started.
1. Know your local building and fire codes. If you intend to route the cables inside your walls then make sure that the cables are made for in-wall installation. Choose the right wire depending on where the wires will be routed, how far the signal would need to travel or the kind of signal that needs to be carried.
2. Clear the area behind your wall before cutting. This is especially true when you’re installing a TV in a finished home.
3. Avoid electric shock by turning off the power in those areas where you will be drilling or cutting. Also, ensure that the TV and other source components are not plugged in before connecting your A/V cables.
4. Get a sturdy and reliable wall mount for your TV. The kind of wall mount you use will also depend on where the TV will be mounted, the size of the TV and your preference. Do you want it flat on the wall or do you prefer that the wall mount will allow you to tilt or swivel the set? It’s up to you.
