What is Starlink?
Operated by Elon Musk’s organisation SpaceX, Starlink delivers satellite-based internet broadband services. Think of it as little constellations of satellites in the sky, all capable of beaming an internet connection to your property, by communicating with the nearest groundstation or gateway. Starlink satellites sit around 60 times closer to the Earth than traditional satellites, reducing latency and increasing connection speed.
You don’t need to worry about any of this, though, all you need to do is plug your router into a terminal, and the tech takes care of the rest. But you do need to get the set up right, first.
