Learning how to install a satellite dish can be quite a task.
The person who will be doing the installation needs to have the knowledge and training on how to install a satellite dish. There are many dangers that come with this task. The biggest of which is probably the risk of falling. If the weather is not friendly, thunderstorms can also cause untoward things to happen. These can cost you your life.

Here are other tips on how to install a satellite dish:
1 Call your cable service provider to know which direction your satellite should face so you can get the best signal.
2 Using the coordinates of the structure where you plan to mount the satellite and the location of the satellite’s orbital path, you will be able to determine where to place the satellite. It is important that you correctly determine the former.
3 Drill through the wall. This should reach the exterior of the structure. The interior hole must be higher than the exterior hole. This will prevent precipitation and water from coming in.
4 On the exterior wall, mount the fixing bracket, line it with a level and secure using anchor screws.
5 Ensure that the mast is straight using a vertical level.
6 Attach the dish securely to the mast, but not too tightly. Skewing will be needed later on to fine- tune the TV signal.
7 On the eye of the dish, also called an LNBF, connect a satellite coaxial cable.
8 Assemble the LNBF and then use the other end of the satellite coaxial cable to connect to a satellite meter. Fix the vertical alignment of the dish, swinging it from left to right to get the right reception. Do this slowly.
9 Once you find the strongest reception, tighten the bolts securely. Remove the satellite meter once you’re done tightening the bolts.
10 Take the coaxial cable through the holes and connect it to the receiver. Then connect the receiver to the TV set using another coaxial cable.
11 Do the channel set up for your TV using the owner’s manual.
