With the help of MediaComs’ professional aerial installers you’ve got nothing left to do but to sit back and relax while we do the job for you.
We recently did an aerial install on one of the properties located on Drapes Road in Stratford E15. The aerial was mounted on a chimney.
Aerial Install Tips
Aerials can be installed in several locations depending on how strong the signals are within your area. It can be installed inside the house either on top of the TV, in the attic or in the loft. Outside, it can be mounted on the wall, roof or the chimney. A pole or mast is used to elevate the aerial so there is a bigger chance of getting a good signal. Generally, the higher it is from the roof, the stronger the signal that the household or building is going to get. However, if more than a 10-foot long pole is used when mounting the aerial to the chimney, its exposure to strong winds can cause the aerial and the chimneys to be damaged.
Some people who are very technical and who loves doing DIY projects find aerial installation exciting. If you are one of them then these tips are for you.
1. When getting your materials from your dealer, don’t be afraid to ask questions or recommendations on the best kind of brackets or poles to use. You can also ask for tips on how to ensure that the aerial is pointing at the right direction.
2. Before doing anything at all, take time to read through the instructions that came with the aerial — how to assemble it and how to properly install it.
3. Ask someone to watch the TV while you are changing the position or direction of the aerial. He should help you identify which direction will give the strongest signal.
4. Tape the coaxial cable to the mast in order secure it and so that it wouldn’t add any strain on the signal.
If you’re not into DIY projects, that is perfectly fine because we’re here. Whether you’re in London or Essex, just pick up the phone and give us a call. We can do the aerial install for you.
