Aerial Upgrade with T&K Bracket
A T&K bracket is one of the most used bracket when securing the mast to the wall. How it is constructed and shaped allows them to be used when mounting the aerials outdoors. We recommend the use of galvanized brackets because they tend to be less prone to rusts.
Satellite dish installation are often done on a south-facing wall – a location where the line of sight is clear and only a standard wall bracket is used. However, if the house is situated where there are several obstruction (like trees and other buildings), there is a need for the aerial installers to use a non-standard bracket in order to have a clearer line of sight. If the installers couldn’t find a position in the south-facing wal, the next best option is to mount it in the north-facing wall with the use of a T&K bracket.
The T&K bracket is also used on a more heavier and bigger dish to keep it more stable. It clamps the pole vertically and it keeps it away from the wall. This is done so that the aerial is protruding and looking above the roof.
