TV Install Location
One of the things that you should think about after getting your own TV set is where it should be located. We all know that the location of your TV could affect your viewing experience. This decision however, isn’t going to be that much difficult anymore because you have the option of mounting the TV on the wall. You don’t have to think about whether the appliance will fit on your bookshelf or if the armoir will fit into the space where you choose to put your TV.
What are the things that you should consider?
1. Is there a nearby power source? If you plan on hooking other equipments such as your DVD or your sound system, you have to make sure that you have enough.
2. Is the location near the windows? If it is, where will the sun be during your TV viewing time? The sun’s glare can affect the quality of the picture. If you have your mind set on that location which unfortunately is where the sunlight is going to hit, then your best option is to use blinders or some really thick curtains to block the light out.
3. It has to be at an eye level so you will not deal with muscle strains. You want to be able to watch the entire show (or movie) comfortably. You don’t want it to be mounted too high (or too low), otherwise you’ll end up with a really painful neck. If the TV is mounted high like above the fireplace, then consider using a wall mount that will allow you to tilt the TV downward.
