In-wall Wiring for Wall Mounted TV
Hiding those cables can be challenging especially if it has to be done in a finished home. Oftentimes there is a need to cut or drill a hole into the walls or ceilings so everything can be kept hidden. Here are a few tips that we hope you find useful.
Inspect and explore before deciding to cut or drill. Check crawlspaces and try to detect where the empty wall space in between studs. You can also use a stud finder to make it more convenient for you.
If you need to cut a hole in order to be certain of what’s behind them, drill small exploratory holes and use a sturdy wire to find obstacles. Make sure that the power is shut off before you start doing this.
When you finally figure out how the components will work, make other preparations and begin cutting the drywall.
If you think these steps are a little too much for you, it’s perfectly fine. That’s where we come in. Call MediaComs. We work to make sure that you have a wall mounted TV ready.
