Are you currently dealing with an aerial reception problem?
Don’t worry because MediaComs is here to take care of your aerial concerns. We are a company that provides aerial services in Essex and London and we cover aerial installation and aerial repairs to name a few.
One of the reasons why we install aerials is because we want to get a better reception and enjoy our favorite shows on TV. However, sometimes despite getting an aerial, how come we are still having problems with our reception?
Causes of Bad Aerial Reception
1. Your Location. The further you are from the TV station tower, the weaker the signal you will have and the poorer reception you will get. Living within the 50km radius will generally give you a better reception. However, if you’re still getting a bad reception despite being situated near the tower then there might be other factors involved.
2. Your Line of Sight. Aside from your distance from the TV station tower, you have to know what’s between your aerial and the transmission tower. If you live in a less populous area then you will most likely have a clear line of sight. However, if you see tall trees, buildings and mountains around then this may be the cause of a bad aerial reception.
3. Aerial condition and age. A lot can happen if your aerial has been there for at least 10 years. There could be a change in the environment as new structures are built around your area and the aerial cables and brackets can deteriorate. Think about getting a new aerial if this is the case.
4. Weather Condition. Severe weather conditions can cause your reception to degrade and the pictures on your TV to pixelate.
5. Change in Your TV Set Up. Did you recently move your outdoor aerial intentionally or unintentionally? Did you happen to buy a new TV perhaps added TV outlets or points. Either one of these can also be the reason for such aerial problem.
If you ever run into any aerial concerns, know who to trust. MediaComs has over 22 years of experience in providing aerial and satellite services — in London and Essex.
