Do you know you have several options in mounting your Plasma TV? We’ve outlined everything for you.

Multiple options for Plasma TV mountings

Owing to it’s small footprint, a plasma TV can be mounted in a variety of ways. This will depend on how the display is to be utilized and the space to which it will be mounted. Mediacoms can provide you with all your needs for mounting your plasma TV – from the necessary hardware, advise on mounting options, up to the actual work of installing the mounts and your plasma TV. Here are some of the options that are available for you.

Table Stands – This type of mounting is usually provided for consumer targeted plasma TV. The manufacturers typically provides these when you buy a plasma TV since it must conform to the specifications and design of the TV.  You can use these when you  have enough space on the top of  a table and it offers maximum flexibility since your plasma TV is not permanently anchored to a single place.

Flat Wall Mounts – This type of mounting is the most popular and the least expensive for consumers. This is the most commonly used mounting for homes and offices. The brackets are mounted flush on the wall and only adds about two inches to the depth of the plasma TV. This gives a more sleek appearance for the plasma TV which is what it is known for.

Tilt Wall Mounts –  This type of mounting option is used when the plasma TV needs to be placed in a higher than eye-level position and the plasma TV is then tilted downward. This is commonly used for mounting above the fireplace or in bedrooms. It is now being adapted for use in the retail industry, too.  This adds about 4-6 inches of depth to your plasma TV.

Articulated Wall Mounts – This type of mounting have swiveling arms that can be rotated to about 100 degrees, facing the people who are going to view the display. These are typically used in bars and restaurants, libraries, or for commercial display purposes. The plasma TV stays flush to the wall like with wall-mountings when it is folded.

Lifts –  This is commonly used when you want to hide your plasma TV when not in use and can be hidden in ceilings, consoles or furnitures.  This type of mounting can be classified into two – the hydraulic lifts and the motorized lifts.  Hydraulic lifts are manually operated while motorized ones are usually electrically-driven and can be accessed by a remote control.
