Looking to protect your property with an alarm system?

Here’s what you need to know…

Whether you’re based in a town or a rural location, the peace of mind that comes from knowing your property is secure and protected is priceless. If you are thinking about a security installation for your home or business then read on as we guide you through what you need to know.

What is an alarm system?

A typical security system is made up of several components that all feed into a control panel. Essentially these components are made up of some or all of the following parts, however we will work with you and your needs to customise a security system that works for your family and/or business:

  • Alarm control panel
  • Door sensors
  • Motion sensors
  • Vibration sensors
  • A high decibel siren
  • App notifications and control

Rest assured we’ve not forgotten your four-legged family members; we offer pet-friendly alarms too!

How does an alarm system work?

Think of the control panel as the computer that all the other detection components feed into. It’s this computer that will sound the alarm if a breach is detected as well as notify you of an activation. We’ll set up your keyfobs, phone application and secure passcode which allows you to arm or disarm your system.

Door and window sensors operate in two parts: one part on the door or window, and the other on the windowsill or door frame. When the security system is armed and a door or window is opened, the alarm will sound.

Motion sensors are often used to cover large areas thus removing the need to fit a device to every door and window. These devices detect movement of heat by using infrared red beams to fill the room.

Vibration sensors are used to detect a force or shock to a door or window.

External Siren loud enough to send any intruder running and alert you to any security breaches.

Smart device connects to your internet connection and sends you notifications of any activations.

CCTV

In conjunction with your intruder alarm CCTV is a valuable deterrent. We offer a range of solutions to meet your needs from working with and updating your existing CCTV system to providing and installing brand new IP network cameras with all the smart technology and tracking functions, from facial recognition to ANPR (automatic number plate recognition).

Remote viewing on your smart device allows you to see what is going on even when you’re  away from your property.

Door Entry and Access Control

Control who has access to your property via entry phone, key fobs and code access with a choice of locking solutions. Whether you have gates or doors we can secure it. We offer a range of services including single door solutions to fully networked pc controlled access systems with user tracking and CCTV integration.

While there are standard components to a security system, every property is different and has different needs, so it’s beneficial to gain advice and have your installation performed by a professional.
